This newly created Accountant will form a key part of the Finance team for one the largest Private Equity Firm Paying £60,000 to £65,000 depending on experience and currently operating a 3/4 day a week in the office with a Discretionary bonus. Located in the heart of Mayfair.
Role
This Accountant Role will help the Firm scale the finance function, put new processes in place and refine existing ones. This role will work closely with the CFO in providing support for a growing team. Please find a brief outline of the role below.
- Provide ongoing support to the Business and add value by continual business partnering, being proactive and commercially aware, and undertaking any ad- hoc projects the Business may require.
- Aid commercial and operational planning by assisting departments with the preparation of annual budgets.
- Ensure an efficient financial month-end close process, with timely and accurate preparation of manual journals (such as accruals, prepayments, cross-charges, etc)
- Maintain the integrity and accuracy of entity balance sheets by performing monthly / quarterly reconciliations in line with month end timetable.
- Assist with cash management by assisting with cash flow forecasts to predict funding requirements.
- Preparing monthly management reporting packs, including variance analysis and insightful written commentary
- Improve the effectiveness of the Finance Team by identifying and implementing process efficiencies
- Ensure the effective maintenance of internal controls by remaining vigilant, professionally sceptical and providing the appropriate level of challenge to the Business
- Maintain personal/professional development to meet the changing demands of the role
Profile
The Accountant Role for this Private Equity Business firm is ideally looking for
- A newly Qualified ACA Accountant- (Strong preference from the big 4)
- Someone who's audited Financial services.
- Someone who's got a good understanding of FRS 102

Salary & Benefits
Salary is bench marked between £60,000 - £65,000 depending on experience. Additionally, there is a Discretionary bonus and hybrid working of 3/4 days in the office. As well as various Annual trips such as Skiing and summer trips
