The team are seeking a skilled Tax Manager and General Accountant with extensive experience in accounts preparation to join their team. This role offers the opportunity for flexible hours and the ability to work from home, ensuring a healthy work-life balance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dealing with limited companies, sole traders, and high net worth individuals.
What you'll do:
- Manage and oversee tax compliance and planning for clients, including corporation tax, personal tax, VAT, and other relevant taxes.
- Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Provide guidance and support to clients on tax-related matters, offering strategic advice to minimise tax liabilities and maximise financial efficiency.
- Conduct thorough analysis of financial data to identify opportunities for optimisation and improvement.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to address accounting queries and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, and implement necessary adjustments to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
- Assist with the preparation and submission of annual accounts and tax returns for a diverse portfolio of clients, including limited companies, sole traders, and high net worth individuals.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and providing exceptional customer service.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, supporting colleagues and promoting teamwork.
What you will have:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) with a strong background in tax management and accounting.
- Proven experience in accounts preparation within a busy accounting practice.
- In-depth knowledge of tax legislation and regulations, with the ability to interpret and apply complex tax rules.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office suite
- A commitment to professional development and staying abreast of industry trends and best practices.
