Accountant/Accounts Manager

RotheramCarrington Recruitment Group are pleased to be handling the recruitment of an Accountant/Accounts Manager for a professional services business based in Warrington. This role is responsible for all aspects of accounts for a Group of three companies. It also handles the accounts of circa 80 self-employed clients. This is a hybrid role working directly for the commercial Company yet also working with the private clients. Reporting to the owner/director this is an integral part of the Finance function responsible for a team of 3 staff members.

Job details will includes the following:

• Production of the periodic management accounts for 3 Companies and associated activities and reporting.
• Supervise a team of 3 staff members and develop and build good relationships across the business network.
• Supporting with year end accounts and budgets
• Maintaining Nominal Ledgers
• Cash Flow Management
• Accounts preparation and Tax Returns for self employed contractors
• Liaising with HMRC for registration of new clients
• Bookkeeping
• Payroll (Deputising)
• Limited Company accounts and Corporation Tax for small business clients
• Deputising for the Owner/Director
• VAT returns
• Ad hoc project work, as and when required by owner, focusing on continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills/Experience:

• AAT Qualified/Qualified by Experience or Part-Qualified
• Experience working within a smaller business, or within an accountancy practice would be highly advantageous
• Excellent communication skills as you will be working with the wider business
• Strong Excel and analytical skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• A team player if people are on holiday, helping with cover

Whats on offer

• £35,000 to £45,000 per annum (will provide study support package if person is part-qualified)
• 9-5 Mon to Fri (hour for lunch) officially but the role will dictate the hours at this level
• Death in Service 4x salary
• Workplace pension (4% net employee 3% employer)
• Annual profit share which we anticipate to be 5% this year (has been as high as 10%)
• Possibility of Private Medical Insurance after probation period.
• Ideally will be on-site but will consider hybrid
• Nice modern offices
