I am recruiting for a long-standing client based in Bilston, recruiting now for an Accounts Administrator on a twelve month fixed term contract. You will be joining a dynamic, forward-thinking company dedicated to professionalism in their trade. Since their establishment in the late 1980’s they have continued to grow from strength to strength.
As the Accounts Administrator, you will play a vital part in supporting the Director with Credit Control, Purchase Ledger, Customer Service with some HR duties.
The successful candidate will be based in a small team, with each member being friendly, welcoming and supportive with your journey.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Interact with customers through phone and email channels
- Collaborate with couriers/hauliers
- Allocate incoming payments
- Dispatch statements to customers
- Proactively pursue payments within specified timelines
- Address and resolve inquiries related to invoices and payments
- Process payments received via phone and email
- Accurately match, check, and record invoices and credit notes
- Engage with suppliers upon payment requests
- Review supplier statements and reconcile credit card statements
- Support month-end and year-end procedures
- Resolve payment, timesheet, and document-related queries with staff
- Tackle issues associated with parcels lacking labels or orders awaiting dispatch
Candidate specification:
- Previous experience from an Accounts/Finance background would be highly advantageous
- An accounting qualification such as an AAT would be an advantage
- Recently graduated candidates would also be considered
