Role: Accounts Assistant
Location: Melksham
Salary: 21-24k
Reporting to the AR Team Leader, this is a great opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented and has strong data entry skills, The successful candidate will be proactive in building effective relationships with both internal and external clients and will be interested in gaining experience in the wider field of finance.
The Accounts Assistant role will provide accurate and timely financial information and services to support the team and the wider business.
Responsibilities:
Fast and accurate processing of daily invoices, cash posting and cash allocation.
Assisting the Credit Controllers to help minimise the aged debtor accounts.
Perform daily data entry tasks accurately and efficiently.
Updating the sales ledger accounts accurately and in a timely manner.
Maintaining the credit note processing system, liaising with key stakeholders within the business to resolve queries and issues in a timely manner.
Preparing monthly accounts statements and posting of transactions from 3rd party system.
Support the finance team with ad hoc analysis and reports.
Perform regular housekeeping checks and ensure ledgers are tidy.
Skills & Experience:
Accurate data entry skill is essential.
Ability to work alone and as a key team member.
Experience within a financial or accounting environment.
Degree level or AAT Level 2 or 3 Qualified, desirable but not essential.
Experience with ERP systems, Microsoft Dynamic, Microsoft Office suites, OneNote is desirable.
A strong focus on managing expectations.
Excellent communication skill and proficiency in Excel are essential.
