Accounts assistant
Fixed term contract - 12 months
Working for a growing business in Tamworth, the Accounts Assistant will be responsible for data input, reconciliations and all day to day administration for the finance function across the business. Working closely with colleagues in the finance team, you will have a variety of tasks and occasionally cover for other team members.
Experience with a purchase ledger or within a finance environment would be useful.
The individual must be IT literate, flexible with a positive attitude and an ability to work to multiple deadlines.
This role would be suitable for a junior candidate with good IT literacy who is interested in gaining experience in an accounts team and an office based role.
This is a fixed term contract for 12 months and will give you excellent exposure to an accounts department in a thriving business.
Responsibilities
- Purchase ledger & ledger reconciliations
- Sales ledger - sales invoice creation
- Accounts input on SUN
- Report production
- Support to senior collegues
- Effectively communicating with the rest of the business re all finance related matters
- Any Ad hoc tasks advised
- To ensure that the company’s vision and values are upheld when dealing with staff/customers and third parties
Skills/Abilities
- Excellent communication skills
- Meet objectives set by senior colleagues
- Meet reporting deadlines both internal and external on the appropriate periodic basis.
- Training on all in-house systems would be provided but strong Microsoft Excel skills would be beneficial.
To £22,000 per annum, based in Tamworth. You may need a driving licence to get the offices as they are not central. There is a bonus scheme in place (monthly, starting month 2 of your employment). Interested? Send your CV now!
