Job Summary:
This role will involve supporting the Accounts Manager in completing the day-to-day tasks within the Accounts Department. The role will mainly focus on (but will not be limited to) the Purchase Ledger aspects of the Finance function.
The suitable candidate would have strong attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and within a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily monitoring of the shared inbox, ensuring that all incoming emails have been actioned within a reasonable time frame.
- Processing Supplier invoices onto Sage-50 Accounts, and coding them to the correct nominal code.
- Matching Supplier invoices to the purchase order, liaising with Colleagues and Suppliers to resolve any disputes.
- Checking Supplier statements and requesting missing documentation.
- Preparing the Supplier payment run ready for the Accounts Manager to process, including sending remittances following payment.
- Completing monthly VAT audits on Suppliers to ensure the Company is compliant with VAT regulations.
- Preparing the credit card statements ready for the Accounts Manager to process.
- Completing Customer and Supplier account forms upon request.
- Maintaining the Purchase Ledger.
- General Administration duties as and when required.
Qualifications and Skills:
- AAT Qualification Preferable
- Experience Working Within a Similar Finance Role Required
- Strong Microsoft Skills
- Experience in Sage-50 Accounts Ideal
- Clear Communication Skills
