Urban Myth has an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Assistantto join the team at our office in South Chingford, based onsite. You will be working on a full time, permanent basis, and in return you will receive a competitive salary of c£28,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience, plus excellent company benefits.

The role:
The Accounts Assistant role is an integral position within our Finance team, which currently consists of the Finance Manager and Purchase Ledger Supervisor. The role will have the primary focus on the sales accounting administration for our core business. The role is full time within the office, 37.5 hours per week, working 8.30am to 5pm.
Your responsibilities as our Accounts Assistant will include:
- Call Off Furniture, appliances, worktops, glass and installation charges for our Contract/Hybrid clients monthly
- Manage the preparation of Site Instruction billings working with Contract team, update Call Off schedules with variations and site instructions
- Manage relationships with client Surveying and Accounting teams
- Raise and post invoices for all areas of the business
- Produce, maintain and reconcile contract summaries for Contract/Hybrid clients
- Request and chase final balances from Retail & Hybrid clients
- Weekly and Monthly Sales report
- Maintain Deposits spreadsheet for Retail team
- Maintain Deferred Income spreadsheet
- Advise management of receipts received
- Post receipts from the bank
- Reconcile final quote to order raising queries with necessary designer
- Register deposits with KBSA where required
- Produce Aged Debtor analysis with breakdown of retentions
- Reconcile final account statements from contract clients
- Invoicing of disbursements to the owners’ property partnership
- Credit Control wherever required
- Maintain the financial records on CRM for sales deposits and instalment balances
- Assist with Purchase Ledger processing and payments when required
- Other Ad Hoc tasks as required

Experience and personal qualities we are looking for in our Accounts Assistant:
- Technical Competency - relevant skills to cover the key tasks
- Experience working in a SME Account’s team
- Effective usage of Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Outlook & using Sage Line 50
