Accounts Assistant

Reed Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be working with a well-established client in Gateshead who are looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. This role is an office-based role with the option of some home working.

Working in a small finance team, your duties will include:

• Accounts Payable
• Accounts Receivable
• Processing weekly company payroll
• Deal with any queries regarding payroll
• Management and reconciliation of all Tax / National Insurance and all other statutory deductions
• Finance reports
• General financial duties
• Assisting with Audit
• Updating and maintaining procedural documentation
• Assisting the Finance Director and Finance Managers when needed

 
The ideal candidate will:

• Have accounts payable/accounts receivable experience.
• Have payroll experience
• Have experience working within finance
• Have excellent IT and numeracy skills
• Have a good level of competence in Microsoft Excel
• Have the ability to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills
• Have the ability to work on own initiative
• Have excellent teamwork and influencing skills
• Should be self-motivated with the ability to organise own workload, prioritising and completing tasks

Hours: Mon-Thu 8am-4pm Fri 8am-3:30pm
Salary: £25,000 per annum
Location: Gateshead (hybrid)
