Reed Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be working with a well-established client in Gateshead who are looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. This role is an office-based role with the option of some home working.
Working in a small finance team, your duties will include:
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Processing weekly company payroll
- Deal with any queries regarding payroll
- Management and reconciliation of all Tax / National Insurance and all other statutory deductions
- Finance reports
- General financial duties
- Assisting with Audit
- Updating and maintaining procedural documentation
- Assisting the Finance Director and Finance Managers when needed
The ideal candidate will:
- Have accounts payable/accounts receivable experience.
- Have payroll experience
- Have experience working within finance
- Have excellent IT and numeracy skills
- Have a good level of competence in Microsoft Excel
- Have the ability to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills
- Have the ability to work on own initiative
- Have excellent teamwork and influencing skills
- Should be self-motivated with the ability to organise own workload, prioritising and completing tasks
Hours: Mon-Thu 8am-4pm Fri 8am-3:30pm
Salary: £25,000 per annum
Location: Gateshead (hybrid)
