Accounts Assistant Role Overview
As the Accounts Assistant, you will provide assistance with purchase ledger and general accounts support. As a member of the accounts team, plays a key supporting role in supporting the Finance manager with business accounting activities.
Accounts Assistant Responsibilities:
- Monitoring of accounts inbox
- Dealing with supplier queries
- Posting of all purchase ledger invoices
- Reconciliation of supplier statements
- Download and post all DD supplier invoices
- Prepare all suggested payments for supplier payments
- Collate supplier invoices for payment run for review
- Weekly review of aged creditors report
- Credit card account
- Setting up of new supplier accounts
- Review of PO’s to be closed/written off (quarterly)
- Chase PO approval when required
- Ad hoc tasks as required to assist the Finance Manager.
Accounts Assistant Experience Required
- Experience of working in an SME environment
- Working knowledge of Sage 200 or equivalent
- Good time management.
- Good inter-personal skills.
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Logical approach and self-motivated
