Accounts Assistant

RK have partnered with a well established company based in Blackpool, close to the M6 motorway junction.

This client has a small but friendly finance team and you will be offered full support and training for thsi Accounts Assistant role.

There is also plenty of free car parking offered to employees.

Please note that the successful candidate will be fully office based at the clients Blackpool office.

The Accounts Assistant jobholder should display the following attributes:

• A pro-active and flexible approach;
• A good level of technical competence in relation to accounting
• Organisational skills, supported by a commitment to meeting tight deadlines through teamwork
• Good communication skills

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Good basic accounting skills and knowledge
• Good working knowledge of Sage accounting software
• Strong Excel skills

• The Accounts Assistant role will involve the following duties :-

  • Maintaining the Purchase ledger and sales ledger
  • Maintaining and performing bank reconciliations on Sage 50.
  • Ensuring all processes are effective as possible
  • Support credit control
  • To assist the Accountant as required
  • Supporting one-off project work
  • Stock takes and control of stock
