A well-known Charity that operates in multiple Countries are recruiting for a Senior Accounts Assistant who will play an important role within their financial accounting department. The role will provide key support to the Head of Financial Accounts undertaking relevant reconciliation activity for bank and balance sheet control accounts across the Charity.
Your duties will include:
- To Reconcile inter/intra group accounts, control accounts and balance sheet accurately and on a timely basis to support statutory accounting preparation
- Support the fundraising team through reconciliation of fundraising control and bank accounts
- Assist in the production of audit files at the mid-year point and at year end ensuring timely and accurate data provision to support relevant reporting schedules engaging proactively with the internal and external auditing team
- Support the wider Financial Accounting Team to close the month end in a robust and timely manner, through journal entries and reports supporting the preparation of the financial statements required for external stakeholders to ensure compliance across all regulatory bodies
- Assist in the production of audit files at the mid-year point and at year end ensuring timely and accurate data provision to support relevant reporting schedules
- Reconcile and manage accounting inputs for bank accounts, petty cash and balance sheet control accounts
- To ensure accuracy and in line with month-end and year-end timetables
- Support the legacy accounting team
Candidate profile:
- AAT level 4 or actively studying ACCA/CIMA
- At least 5 years’ experience working in a complex accounting environment
- Extensive reconciliation experience
- Intermediate to advanced Excel user
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Length: Permanent
Salary: £33,400 + excellent company benefits
Location: Central / South London – 2 days pw in office / 3 days pw from home
