An accountancy practice in Ripon is recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join their business.

To be considered you should have worked for another accountancy practice.

Training and AAT study support can be offered if applicable.

Duties

• Preparation of Accounts for Sole Traders and Partnerships
• Drafting Tax Computations
• Assisting other staff with preparatory work including bank reconciliations and analysis
• Preparation of VAT returns for review and submission to HMRC
• Analysing information using Excel
• Potential to support clients through the MTD transition from manual records to cloud software
• Payroll processing or Personal Income Tax Return preparation would be considered an advantage

Requirements

• Accountancy practice experience is essential
• IT literacy

37.5hrs/week

Flexitime: 8.30-4.30pm or 9-5pm
