Form of workRobert Half are working in exclusive partnership with a reputable organisation in Marlborough to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an autonomous, varied role that will be involved with supporting with month-end process and be responsible of the purchase and sales ledger processes, whilst being a key contributor to wider finance team. This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced individual that is studying towards their AAT whilst looking for the next step up in their career or someone that is qualified by experience that is looking for a new challenge and add value. The salary is between £25,000 - £30,000 plus study support and other excellent benefits.
The Role
The main duties of the Accounts Assistant role will consist of:
- Processing invoices
- Bank reconciliations
- Posting journals
- Preparing and submitting payments
- Debtor and billing analysis; producing reports
- Credit control; collection of outstanding debt, managing debt provision, reconciliations
- Creating and maintaining accounts
- Dealing with queries from stakeholders and customers
Requirements
To be considered for the Accounts Assistant role, you must ideally possess the following skills/attributes:
- Must have experience within an accounts payable or accounts receivable role or similar
- AAT studier or qualified by experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Highly organised
- Empathetic and professional
- Competent user of Excel; pivot tables and lookups
