Role: Accounts Assistant

Location: Site Office at Carland Cross, Mitchell, Cornwall TR8 5AY (This is an On-Site Role)

Duration: 20th Nov 2023 - 29th April 2024

Rate: 12ph PAYE + holiday pay

Key Responsibilities and daily duties will include:
Processing External Plant Hire Invoices and Material Invoices into Enterprise One (E1), including the timely resolution of queries should they arise.
Assist as necessary in the reconciliation of all transaction records relating to the company purchase card statements.
Assist in the investigation, retrieval, and resolution of head office charges and information for Internal Auditors working on behalf of the client.
Manage any registers compiled for goods received and to log any Goods Received Notes.
Diligently use the project document management system to store, retrieve and archive all finance generated information.
Work in accordance with the requirements of the monthly accounting timetable
Engage in communication with the project teams, suppliers, and any other external parties, all as required.
Ensure accurate cost capture by adhering to the defined project cost coding structure.
Identify any rechargeable items for further ongoing administration.
Liaise closely with the project operations and commercial teams.
Any other duties as may be requested by your line manager.
Though not all the requirements below are essential since training will be delivered relative to the role offered, Finance experience would be preferable.
Experience of using EnterpriseOne (E1) or other similar accountancy software.
Previous experience in an accounting or cost clerk position
Computer competence (MS Word, Excel, document, and finance management systems
Experience in the construction industry, and in the highways sector preferable
Good communication skills, with a professional and positive attitude.
Able to work as part of a team, and able to demonstrate a "can do" attitude.
A good team player, but also must be able to work on own initiative.
