Job Description
The Position Function:
· Managing a portfolio of clients (numbers depending on experience)
· Review of c80 Limited Company Financial Statements per year
· Preparing management accounts for clients
· Maintaining and developing technical ability by attending webinars, keeping abreast of technical developments (we have an Audit and Compliance Partner who takes ultimate responsibility and is the go to person for technical queries)
· Oversee work-planning of portfolio
· Provide timely and constructive feedback on jobs performed
· Suggesting and agreeing fees with clients
· Report to Associate DirectorThe Position Responsibilities:
· Be approachable to members of the team
· Maintain objectivity, professionalism and independence in client relationships
· Discuss difficult/contentious matter with clients (but always with Partner to back up and support)
· Support less experienced members of the team as required
· Ability to be well organised, in own work and with the workflow of the portfolio
· Participate, as a minimum, in internally help Business Development events
· Well researched, enthusiastic and knowledgeable on the work and role of the Chartered Accountant, and the firm
The Successful Applicant
A successful Business Services Manager / Assistant Manager should have:Qualifications, Experience & Knowledge:
· Full ACCA/ACA Qualification, with 2+ years PQE
· 5 years experience in Practice Accountancy
· Essential knowledge in: MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook
· Desirable knowledge in: Accountancy package such as IRIS, SAPA, etc; Sage Line 50Skills:
· Ability to deal with tasks on a timely basis
· Expert Communication Skills, i.e. speaking to clients and colleagues
· Enthusiasm coupled with drive and determination
· Highly developed organisational skills
· Ability to perform well working in a team environment
· Ability to perform well as an individual
· Self-manage work loads
· Competent in setting own deadlines and meeting organisational deadlinesOther:
· Flexible to work longer hours when require, e.g. to meet deadlines and projects
