Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the management and Principals of the firm.
- Reviewing and managing a portfolio of jobs within the accounts team.
- Managing the financial aspects, servicing, and developing a client portfolio, including budgeting, negotiation, billing, and recovery.
- Overseeing statutory accounts preparation assignments and controlling assignment teams.
- Preparing Corporate Tax Returns in conjunction with accounts for FRS 105 clients.
- Finalizing accounts under the overall control of the Senior Manager and Principals.
- Working with Xero and QuickBooks Online and providing guidance to cloud-based clients.
Ideal candidates will possess the following skills:
- ACA qualified (2 to 5 years PQE).
- Significant accounting experience gained within a professional services environment.
- Demonstrable working knowledge of accounting standards and corporate tax matters.
- Proficiency in cloud accounting packages, particularly Xero and QuickBooks Online, and various App integrations.
- Good understanding of skill requirements of staff at various levels to ensure appropriate task execution.
- Excellent communication and people management skills, with a track record of successfully managing staff and clients.
- Ability to prioritize and work under pressure in a calm and collected manner to meet tight deadlines.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage junior team members.
Benefits and Employment Details:
- Full-time role – Monday to Friday 9am – 5:30pm (Hybrid working available after training – combination of office/home working).
- Remuneration dependent on experience.
