Job Description
Accounts Manager for an established Property Management firm based in Knightsbridge.
Required by 29th February 2024
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000
Hours: Mon – Fri 9am to 6pm
Location: Knightsbridge
Overview of the role: Ensuring that financial activities always comply with accounting standards and financial reporting regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Working with external Accountants to prepare and file Statutory Accounts and related Tax Returns including CT61, VAT Returns and Non-Resident Landlord Returns
- Responsible for managing Sales Ledger Clerk and Purchase Ledger Clerk
- Checking Debtor Reports and Creditor Reports prepared by Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger
- Checking Credit Card reconciliations prepared by Purchase Ledger
- Authorising Bank Payments based on Weekly Payment Report prepared by Purchase Ledger
- Monthly Bank Reconciliations
- Monthly Deposit Reconciliations
- Monthly Client Reports
- Monthly Operating Reports
- Monthly Intercompany Expenses Reports
- Cash Flow Reports
- Processing Payroll (information provided by external Accountants – not prepared in-house)
- Dealing with fixed assets, pre-payments, loan interest reconciliations, depreciation and accruals
- Allocating Revenue and Capital expenses correctly
- Rent Variance Analysis
- Costs of Sales Analysis
- AML Compliance
- Client Money Protect Compliance
- Provide cover for Sales Ledger Clerk and Purchase Ledger Clerk in case of absence
Essential skills required:
- Xero Accounts System Super User (essential)
- Accounts experience within UK real estate (essential)
- Exemplary written and verbal English (essential)
- Work Accuracy
- Strong IT skills
