Verlingue have established Account teams in Manchester, Staines, London, Gloucester and Redhill. This role will be based in our Redhill team, which is currently made up of 4 finance personnel. The wider team is made up of 10 personnel.
Key Accountabilities
- Setting up and posting purchase invoices and processing payments to banking and accounting systems
- Posting daily cash transactions and reconciling bank accounts, cash books
- Monthly reconciliation of the purchase ledger accounts
- Assisting with mandates and other banking queries
- Daily banking of cheques and updating cheque register
- Assisting with the process of monthly expenses and company credit cards including setting up payments
- Ad hoc tasks depending on month end requirements and business needs
- To ensure that appropriate standards of conduct are compiled to at all times
- To work in partnership with the other teams to ensure the overall delivery of Finance objectives
- To ensure continuous process improvement within area of responsibilities by carrying out periodic reviews of processes and procedures
- To comply with regulatory requirements, industry codes of practice and the Company’s own procedures and rules.
- To comply with FCA CASS 5, as updated, client money rules at all times.
- To ensure that any clients with whom you deal with are treated fairly at all times.
- To be aware of and manage any potential conflict of interest.
- To be aware of and report any potential instances of money laundering and financial crime legislation, policies, and procedures relevant to the organization.

Desirable
- Part qualified or desire to start working towards relevant accountancy qualification (AAT)
