Our client, a well know electrical distribution company based in Shiremoor are currently looking for an Accounts Payable Assistant to provide support to their team. The successful candidate will effectively contribute to the team as a whole to ensure making payments to suppliers and customers is in keeping with their contractual agreements.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting the team to achieve 95% of making all payments on time to agreed terms
- Provide excellent customer service for both internal and external customers
- Assist with contributing to ensure all relevant KPI information is reported on a timely basis
- Possess good effective communicative skills across all formats.
- Aquire a good working knowledge of MS Office in particular MS Excel.
- When required to work unsupervised and be self-starting in tasks or pieces of work.
- Assist with carrying out financial month end checks/reports to ensure AP financial period closure.
- Effectively apply all the correct standards and comply with the required controls, as specified within the Policies, Codes of Practice and other key documentation that cover all types of payments.
