Accounts Payable Clerk

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Payable Clerk role in the growing manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be part of a dedicated Accounting & Finance team, bringing their commitment and diligence to the fore.

This company is widely respected for its quality products and commitment to delivering high standards. They are based in Wallingford and are eager to add a new member to their Finance team.

Description

Your role as the Accounts Payable clerk will be to:

· Manage Supplier Accounts

· Processing payment runs

· Ensuring documentation related to payment of invoices is accurate

· Processing vendor invoices

· Reconciling A/P including intercompany accounts

· Liaising with creditors and answering queries regarding outstanding invoices

· Allocate vendor payments

· Manage import VAT and HMRC deferment account

· Assist in audit/ year-end financial closure

Profile

A successful Accounts Payable Clerk should have:

• A strong understanding of Accounts Payable processes and principles
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive approach and the ability to work independently
• A relevant degree in Accounting, Finance or similar
