Accounts Payable Specialist

North East England, Northumberland, Shipley (1 day per month in the office)

We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Shipley, Northumberland. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for a range of financial tasks within the accounting department.

• Processing and verifying invoices
• Conducting payment runs and ensuring timely payments
• Resolving Accounts Payable queries 
• Reconciling contractor statements

• Previous experience in an Accounts Payable role 
• Proven track record of processing high volumes of invoices
• Strong attention to detail
• Experience with Agresso / Unit4 Systems is a necessary requirement 

A relevant accounting or finance qualification

Proven experience in Accounts Payable or a similar financial role

• Proficiency in Agresso / Unit4 software
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

• Additional accounting certifications
• Experience working with contractor payments

This role is only 1 day a month in the office. Standard working hours are expected with occasional overtime during peak periods.
