Here at Every Step Recruitment, Finance & Accountancy, we are supporting our Client with their requirement for a Accounts Payable Supervisor. Please note, this is a full-time, permanent opportunity and office-working is required Monday to Friday. (one day hybrid)

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the Accounts Payable Manager
• Training, guiding and mentoring the Accounts Payable Clerks as required
• Matching and coding high-volume purchase order invoices
• Dealing with supplier queries via email, telephone and letter
• Processing VAT returns
• Payment runs, processing CHAPS and BACS payments
• Allocating payments
• System maintenance: ensuring all records are kept up-to-date
• Bank reconciliations
• Ensuring all invoices are processed accurately and efficiently
• Improving and documenting processes and procedures
• Updating the cashflow forecast on a daily basis

You will have the following skills and attributes:

• At least 2 years’ recent experience working within a Senior/Supervisor Accounts Payable role
• A proven ability to train, guide and mentor more junior team members
• Excellent attention to detail and levels of accuracy
• Ability to work to deadlines
• Strong communication skills - both written and verbal
• A willingness to work from the Watford office Monday to Friday
