SalaryI am supporting a well established organisation in Buckingham looking for an Accounts Payable Senior to join their finance team on a 6 month initial contract during a busy period.
The finance team are currently going through exciting implementations and require support for day to day Accounts Payable functions while senior staff focus on a smooth transition within the team.

- Located: Buckingham
- Payrate: £16ph-£18ph DOE
- Contract: 6 Month temporary assignment
- Full Time - Office Based
- Immediate Start
Duties Include:
Communication
• Establish good communications and regular contact with key staff in order to expertly deal with queries.
• Provide a high level of customer service to business units.
• Strong verbal and written skills are essential, with the need for tact in sensitive scenarios
Teamwork and Motivation
• Coordinating with the team to ensure all the deadlines are met, whilst the team have to focus on UAT testing and preparing for the implementation of the new Finance package.
Liaison and Networking
• Ensure compliance with purchasing policies
• Act as the point of contact for all procurement queries and answer questions about the financial policies and procedures when key permanent staff are unavailable.
Service Delivery
• Prepare weekly payment runs for authorisation by signatories
• Prepare all payments including international and Bankline
• Maintain the purchase ledger in a timely and accurate manner ensuring the creditor liability in line with current financial regulations and procedures.
Decision Making Processes and Outcomes
• Analyse data and produce reports
• Responsible for cover for creating, updating and reviewing financial reports to forecast levels of demand for services and products
Planning and Organising Resources & Initiative and Problem Solving
• Plan and coordinate activities with the Accounts Payable team and wider finance as necessary to support the accurate and timely production of all financial information and reporting, to ensure the relevant staff can release themselves from their daily duties to assist with the Finance package implementation.
Analysis and Research
• Produce the PO reports required for the Financial Accountant’s monthly accruals.
• Use financial systems to ensure accurate recording in compliance with relevant accounting policies and standards.
• Work with the wider staff to ensure all invoices and credit card expenses are received in a timely manner and are processed accurately.
• Ensure supplier statements are reconciled on a monthly basis.
Successful Candidate:
- Understand the inter-relationship between different teams and their impact, helping to build beneficial working relationships across the teams, offering appropriate support, feedback, guidance, and development opportunities
- AAT preferable but not essential.
- Experience in the Accounts Payable environment up to supervisor level preferable.
