Accounts Payable Team Leader

A high growth Retail business that are a long standing client of Walters People are looking to add an Accounts Payable Team Leader to their department in the Warrington area following a company re structure.

As an Accounts Payable Team Leader, you will lead a dedicated team responsible for managing the end-to-end Accounts Payable process. Your role involves overseeing invoice processing, vendor relations, and ensuring accurate and timely payments. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, optimise processes, and contribute to the financial success of our organisation

Responsibilities...

• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of Accounts Payable professionals, ensuring efficient work flow and adherence to company policies.
• Mentoring: Conduct regular 1-1s.
• Invoice Processing: Oversee the entire Accounts Payable cycle, including coding, approvals, and timely payment execution within KPI demands.
• Vendor Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, resolving any discrepancies promptly.
• Process Optimisation: Identify opportunities for process improvement, streamlining procedures for maximum efficiency.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare reports related to Accounts Payable for management review.
• Compliance: Stay informed about financial regulations and compliance requirement

Skills required...

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Accounts Payable management or a similar leadership role.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical Abilities: Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Industry Knowledge: Understanding of relevant financial regulations
• Leadership Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead others, acting as a point of call to management.
