An exciting opportunity has arisen within nationwide business for an Accounts Receivable Assistant to join the finance department. This role involves handling internal costings, expenses, and queries within the Accounts Receivables side of the business, with exposure to accounts payable and management accounts.
Day to Day of the role:- Serve as the main contact for all ‘charging’ related transactions issued to the centres from Head Office.
- Collaborate with the Purchase Ledger department to compile monthly reports of unbilled purchases for each centre.
- Issue reports to centres for explanations of each line item and follow up on unresolved queries.
- Review documentation to establish which internal costs to process and reallocate cash received between centres.
- Ensure adjustments for ‘Price promises’ are correctly actioned daily.
- Compile wage deduction costings for Human Resources to meet strict monthly deadlines.
- Process ‘price differences’ into the finance system and handle daily communications with centres via email and phone.
- Process ad hoc journals and assist with Accounts Receivable tasks such as debt chasing and investigating missing payments.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Strong administration skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a small team.
- 22 days holiday per year, plus statutory holidays, increasing with service.
