Accounts Receivable Executive

This role is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Executive to join the finance team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing and optimising the company's Accounts Receivable processes, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, payment collection, and maintaining strong relationships with their valued customers.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage the end-to-end Accounts Receivable process, including timely and accurate invoicing, credit control, and payment allocation.
2. Collaborate closely with the sales and customer service teams to resolve any billing discrepancies and address customer queries effectively.
3. Conduct regular credit checks on new and existing customers, analysing creditworthiness and setting appropriate credit limits.
4. Monitor outstanding balances and ageing reports, proactively following up on overdue payments and implementing collection strategies to minimise bad debt.
5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records, ensuring all relevant information is properly documented in the accounting system.
6. Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies or billing errors promptly.
7. Prepare and present regular reports on Accounts Receivable performance, highlighting key insights and trends to the finance team.
8. Collaborate with the finance team to support month-end and year-end closing processes, including accurate and timely reporting.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is desired.
2. Proven experience in Accounts Receivable or a similar role, preferably within the sports, gambling, events, or publishing industry would be a significant advantage.
3. Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, including invoicing, credit control, and collections.
4. Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
5. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with numerical data accurately.
6. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
8. Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
