SalaryOur client, a forward thinking, independent firm of Chartered Accountants are seeking an Accounts Senior to join their growing practice in Uckfield.
The role will involve being responsible for the accounts for a mixed portfolio of clients.
Duties will include:-
- Leading client accounts' engagements (planning, directing and completion)
- Supervising junior staff
- Producing statutory accounts and drafting tax computations
- Researcing and analysing financial statements
- Monitoring progress of the jobs and ensuring budgets are met
- Drafting client letters and bills
- Proactively interact with key clients' management to gather information, resolve problems and make recommendations for business and process improvements
You will ideally have at least 2-3 years practice experience, with a strong accounts background and hold a professional qualification such as ACCA/ACA, although study may be offered if required.
An understanding of accounting standards, corporation tax, VAT and P11D's would also be an advantage, along with a good working knowledge of Caseware, Sage, Quickbooks, Xero, Alphatax and CCH systems.
