Accounts & Tax Senior

Located in Bexhill–On–Sea, East Sussex, an esteemed firm of chartered accountants seeks an Accounts & Tax Senior to bolster their accomplished team. We are seeking an individual to fulfil a dynamic role encompassing tax advice, compliance, and planning for a diverse clientele. The scope covers various taxes, predominantly focusing on IHT, CGT, and Income Tax for individuals and Trusts, with exposure to Payroll Taxes and Stamp Duty Land Tax. As a versatile general practice firm, responsibilities may extend to advising and assisting business clients.

The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with Partners and the team on tax projects and general tax matters, assuming a senior role in review and problem–solving.

Preferred qualifications include ATT or CTA certification. Candidates should demonstrate motivation and adaptability for remote work and possess strong written communication skills for conveying tax planning, rules, and implications to clients.

While expertise across all tax areas is not mandatory, proficiency in problem–solving, research, and identifying tax issues is essential. Prior experience with Underwriters, Trusts, or High Net Worth Private Clients is advantageous, with provision for training if needed.

GBP30,000 – GBP40,000 dependent on experience and background, negotiable. A highly competitive benefits package is also on offer.

The successful candidate may opt for entirely office–based or hybrid work arrangements, with a minimum of three days per week in the office for full–time positions. Although the role is ideally based in our Tenterden office, applicants near our Rye or Bexhill offices will be considered. Both full–time and part–time roles (minimum equivalent of 80% working week) will be considered.
