Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and coordinate a variety of activities for residents in a senior care facility
- Develop and implement engaging programs that cater to the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of residents
- Collaborate with staff and residents to identify interests and preferences for activities
- Arrange transportation and logistics for off-site outings and events
- Maintain activity calendars and ensure timely communication of upcoming events to residents and staff
- Provide supervision and support during activities to ensure the safety and enjoyment of participants
- Evaluate the effectiveness of activities and make adjustments as needed
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes socialization and meaningful interactions among residents
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an activities Co-Ordinator
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational abilities with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with older adults
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of staff members
