Duties:
- Plan and organize a variety of activities and events for adults with a Learning Disability in a Residential home
- Develop and implement programs that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being of residents
- Coordinate with other staff members to ensure activities are scheduled and executed smoothly
- Communicate with residents to understand their interests, preferences, and needs
- Provide assistance and support to residents during activities as needed
- Maintain documentation of activity participation and resident feedback
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a similar setting and with adults with a learning disability
- Knowledge of senior care and dementia care practices
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff members
- Ability to plan and organize activities that cater to a diverse group of individuals
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with adults with a learning disability.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple activities simultaneously
