LOCATION(S): Bristol
HOURS: Full-time
WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid - Two days per week (or 40% of your time) at the above office location.
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic change team based in Bristol, working with highly skilled professionals in our actuarial model development team?
You’ll be working on changes to our main reporting model (and tools) that calculates the value of our life and pensions business and forms a critical part of our external reporting process for the markets and UK Regulators. The work we do includes adding new functionality to the model such as new products we sell, updating the model for changes in reporting regulation and correction of defects.
Day to day you’ll work with other team members supporting them with model development work. This will include setting off calculations using our modelling software, extracting results into Excel spreadsheets, doing basic checks on the results and running a variety of tools to produce input for the model.
Don’t worry if you don’t already know what we do, we're looking for colleagues with the right attributes and capacity to learn.
We’re looking for someone who:
  • is IT literate with experience of using Microsoft Excel
  • pays attention to detail, is methodical and thorough.
  • has strong organisational skills with the ability to work on your own initiative.
  • Loves working within a team, able to collaborate and communicate effectively
  • has a can-do attitude and a desire to learn.

No previous experience is necessary as full training will be provided.

And it’s why we especially welcome applications from under-represented groups.
We’re disability confident. So if you’d like reasonable adjustments to be made to our recruitment processes, just let us know.
We also offer a wide-ranging benefits package, which includes:
  • A generous pension contribution of up to 15%
  • An annual bonus award, subject to Group performance
  • Share schemes including free shares
  • Benefits you can adapt to your lifestyle, such as discounted shopping
  • 22 days’ holiday, with bank holidays on top
  • A range of wellbeing initiatives and generous parental leave policies
