The salary for this permanent Acute Consultant Psychiatrist job is £62,278 - £93,417 per annum.

Duties:
• Be responsible for up to 8 patients on one of the acute wards and provide cross-cover to the other wards
• Fulfil the role of Responsible Clinician to patients supervising the process of referral and admission including contribution to the pre-admission assessments
Requirements of the Acute Consultant Psychiatrist:
Passionate about delivering first class acute psychiatric care
Must hold a CCST/CCT or equivalent in the relevant areas of psychiatry and have experience of working in inpatient settings with people with significant mental health difficulties
Have experience at consultant level within the NHS
Be an excellent team player keen to participate in a multi disciplinary approach to assessment with a keen interest in developing services within a forward thinking transitional environment
Continue to hold a registration with the GMC including being on the special register for psychiatry
Willing to undertake a DBS check
