The Business Systems (Children’s) Team provides high quality business systems and expert support to hundreds of users of our main Children’s Services information systems, LCS and EHM. We work to ensure that good quality and timely record-keeping and the effective use of our resources support children, young people, and their families to live their best lives.
What is the job role?
The Team has an exciting apprenticeship opportunity to support in providing a diverse range of functions to drive Social Care in continuing its transformational journey.
The role will focus on user support within our Children’s Case Management Systems such as: Assisting users in resolving system issues, configuring new options within the system such as addresses and new user accounts and developing guidance notes for new processes and system functionality.
The apprentice will study towards the Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard. Further information about this apprenticeship can be found here:

This apprenticeship role is a fixed term contract for 21 months in line with the length of the apprenticeship training.
The post will be based in our offices at One Friargate, Station Square, Coventry, United Kingdom.
This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for applicants that have:
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
- An understanding of what excellent customer service means
- Strong IT skills, including the ability to use a variety of programs for word processing, data entry, and presentation of documents
- An understanding of data protection and the importance of confidentiality

* The pre-interview is a short session to give the candidates further details of the apprenticeship role and to help them understand what to expect from and how to prepare for the final interview. You will also complete a short diagnostic assessment to check the level of Maths and English that they are currently working at and identify any support they may require.
