An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in a busy and thriving Planning Department. We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised individual to provide general administration support in our Planning Administration Section. You should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work on your own initiative. You should have experience of working in a customer facing environment and be able to demonstrate a high standard of customer care. Ideally you will have good ICT skills and possess appropriate GCSE/’O’ level passes in English and Maths or equivalent qualifications.
- Provide general administrative support to the Planning service.
- Assist the Technical Assistant in downloading and collating planning applications and once registered, index and redact applications onto the Council’s document management system.
- Act as the first point of contact for customers on the telephone and in reception.
- Take telephone payments for planning applications.
- Process and redact all neighbour and statutory consultee responses onto the planning database and document management system.
- Process amended plans onto the document management system.
- Respond to Solicitor and planning history enquiries.
