We have an exciting opportunity to become a key player in our vibrant, friendly, small but busy team. Joining our team, you’ll be responsible for providing general and administrative duties for all services the team delivers, Waste management, Grounds Maintenance, and the Cemetery service.
This role reports directly to the Waste and Environment Lead within the Communities and Housing Directorate.
About you:-
The successful candidate will be driven and motivated with an eye for detail. You will be a team player but confident to work independently and have a flexible attitude to working under pressure. We are looking for an individual with a positive outlook and a desire to deliver a quality service to the community we serve.
You will need to have good and accurate literacy, numeracy and administrative skills and the ability to analyse information to solve general queries. You are likely to be processing lots of different types of information, so you will need strong IT skills. In addition, you’ll be undertaking routine financial processes and support the team with initiatives related to the service.
Excellent communication skills are also important, to ensure the office operates efficiently. Good planning and organising skills are key for this role and you should be used to working under pressure to meet deadlines allowing flexibility and resilience.
