Administration Officer - East Disabled Children’s Team

Role Responsibility

An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and committed part time Administration Officer to join the East Disabled Children’s Team. This post will be based at either Brook House in Whitstable or Green Banks in Margate. We are currently operating a hybrid working arrangement so there will be the opportunity for a mix of office and home working. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive support to a Social Work team and Team Manager. 

You will need to be highly organised and able to manage competing claims on your time. You will have good office skills, a good knowledge of computer systems and the ability to take high quality minutes during meetings are essential. A key part of the role will be using in-house finance systems, therefore confidence and experience with finance work and databases is required. Support from team members and formal supervision will be provided.

This post is considered by Kent County Council to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
