Job Title: Administrative Assistant
Location: Spring Place, Southampton (Hybrid 3 days per week onsite)
Duration: 6 months contract
Pay-rate: GBP108 per day Inside IR35
Security Clearance: BPSS
Background of the role:
- Contribute to the guidance to operational teams to influence compliance with relevant policy, legislation and best practice.
- Support the delivery of business plans. Keep up to date on changing legislation and best practice externally, to make recommendations in the organisation.
- Assist with the development of policies and processes and monitor and advise on effective implementation in the organisation.
- Participate in projects, providing input to improve ways of working and organisational efficiency.
- Build relationships with operational stakeholders to understand issues and provide effective responses.
- Provide advice to others on policies, procedures, practices, and techniques.
Minimum Requirement:
- Detail-oriented and highly organised Administrative Assistant with robust Excel skills, this role primarily involves data transfer between spreadsheets, maintaining accurate records, and handling statutory compliance documents.
- The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant or in a similar role.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data visualisation tools.
- Familiarity with statutory compliance documentation and procedures.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) is a plus.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse and interpret data accurately.
- Attention to Detail: Commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Organisational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication, both written and verbal.
