Job description

Are you an experienced Administrator with a passion for making a positive impact in the community? You will be joining a well-established charity based in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire who are focused on improving health, wellbeing, social inclusion and communities through physical activity.

This is a temporary to permanent vacancy and once you are permanent, you will receive the following benefits: 38.5 days holiday including Bank Holidays and Christmas Shut Down, additional holiday increases with service up to 43.5 days in total, Wellbeing Grant voucher of GBP50 to be spent on health and wellbeing, volunteer day, up to 8% pension scheme, annual CPD courses offered by Staffordshire University, online skills training platform and access to a counselling service.

This is a hybrid role, working 2 days in the office and 3 days from home with flexibility available. Standard hours are 35 per week, 9.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday.

As the Administrator, your duties will include:

  • Managing the organisation's email inbox, responding to enquiries, and forwarding them to the respective teams where necessary
  • Coordinating room bookings for meetings and events and handling travel arrangements
  • Assisting with the onboarding process for new staff, which includes preparing offer letters, conducting right to work checks, arranging DBS checks and references
  • Posting recruitment adverts on appropriate platforms
  • Updating the organisation's website with relevant information
  • Providing support to staff with IT issues by liaising with external IT partners and the in-house IT team
  • Working on various administration projects as required


As the Administrator, you will have:

  • Previous administration experience
  • A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • IT literate - experience in Microsoft 365 and SharePoint would be an advantage
  • You may have experience in any of the following: Administration Officer, Office Administrator, Receptionist, Office Assistant, Personal Assistant, Secretary, Sales Administration, HR Assistant, HR Administrator, Admin Support

You will receive a salary of GBP25,000 per annum / GBP13.74ph. This role is temping for 16 weeks with a view of becoming permanent.
