About the Trust
Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust provides hospital-based services from three main sites - theAlexandra Hospital in Redditch, Kidderminster Hospital and Treatment Centre, and Worcestershire Royal Hospitalin Worcester.
We provide a wide range of services to a population of 580,000 people in Worcestershire as well as caring for patients from surrounding counties and further afield.
What you will be responsible for:
- Providing ICT related administrative tasks including keeping IT hardware/Software Inventory up-to-date and relevant IT documentation records.
- Actioning tickets that come through to the team for IT related requests
- Promptly handle assigned issues and tasks through Trust/Hospital.
- Perform basic office support functions when not supporting the IT Service Desk team.
- Intermediate working with data systems, Microsoft Office Suite; Excel (i.e., spreadsheets, formulas, importing and exporting of files, as applicable)
- Procurement of IT Equpiment
You will learn the following whilst working at the trust:
- An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
- Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
- A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
You will have the following skills/experience:
- Proven experience in administrative support roles, preferably in an IT environment.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic understanding of IT concepts and technologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other standard office software.
- Familiarity with IT inventory management systems is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
