The Client:
VWA are working with an established and prestigious preparatory school in their search for a Music Administrator to support the Director or Music on an ongoing basis.
The Role:
Music Administrator duties will include but are not limited to:
- Organising music department libraries, music lockers and maintaining stationary stocks
- Ordering music and equipment
- Overseeing department room booking system
- Budget and accounts monitoring
- Minuting of weekly departmental meetings
- Liaising with the relevant parties to ensure smooth running of lessons with visiting music teachers
- Organising all logistics for events, including venue selection, guest invites, seating, music hiring, ticket arrangements, etc.
- Assist with organization of ABRSM exams and any rehearsals
The successful Music Administrator will:
- Have excellent organization skills and ability to juggle overlapping priorities
- Maintain a highly professional demeanor and
- Be proficient in reading music (hugely beneficial)
- Have prior experience working in a music department or with music administration
- Exhibit a muck-in attitude and be proactive in supporting the Director of Music
- Have a high attention to detail
- Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
The Details and Benefits:
- Maximum of 6 hours per week, during term-time only
- Fully office-based
- Salary up to £15 per hour plus holiday pay, depending on experience
