PART-TIME ADMINISTRATOR

£21,000 per annum (37.5 hours per week) pro-rata

Kempston, Bedfordshire Office-based

12-month Contract

22.5 hours per week over 3 days: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Our client is a charity based in Kempston, Bedford that support those affected by death or life-changing injuries resulting from road collisions. They play an important role in supporting the bereaved individuals and families across Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Norfolk, and Suffolk.

They are looking for a part-time administrator to join the charity and provide administrative and secretarial support to the CEO, Clinical Lead, and the wider office.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Working understanding of Windows & Microsoft packages
• Good attention to detail
• Experience of processing DBS and DVLA applications
• Able to work independently and with others to deliver services
• Confident telephone manner
• Numerate and literate
• GCSE A-C or equivalent in English and Mathematics

The key responsibilities for the role will be:

• Provide timely and effective administrative and secretarial support to the CEO, Clinical Lead and wider office
• Responsible for DBS and DVLA checks for staff, volunteers and trustees
• Responsible for liaising with Volunteers to ensure that Mandatory Training is kept up to date
• Process and respond to incoming communication, message taking, copying and distributing information as necessary
• Write and distribute email, correspondence, letters and forms
• Maintain filing systems - electronic and paper
• Assist in maintaining supplies to facilitate the smooth running of the office
