About the Trust
Croydon Health Services NHS Trust is part of the National Health Service (NHS) and was formed in July 2010 with the integration of Mayday Healthcare NHS Trust with Croydon Community Health Services. Croydon Health Services provides integrated NHS services to care for people at home, in schools, and health clinics across the borough as well as at Croydon University Hospital and Purley War Memorial Hospital.
What you'll be responsible for:
- Post holder will predominantly provide administrative support to the school hearing screener.
- Liaise with the schools to arrange the school visit, arrange a quiet area for the hearing assessment, send the permission slips, and remind the school of the school visit.
- Following school screening, the post holder will need to update the patients EMIS file to record that they have had the school screen whether it's a pass or a fail, scan the results and attach them to the patients file.
- If the patient fails the school screen, a full audiology appointment will need to be booked, letter posted home.
- The post holder will also be required to order stock for the paediatric audiology department, chase orders as required.
- Required to help with booking appointment, checking emails, sending out reports.
You'll learn the following whilst working at the trust:
- An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
- Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
- A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
You'll have the following skills/experience:
- Excellent communication skills- both verbal and written
- Microsoft office skills- Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Previous NHS experience
- Previous admin experience
- NHS System Knowledge- Emis and Eprocurement
