My client has its headquarters in Launceston and works on consultation and communication projects in the development sector. They're seeking an organised and driven individual to join their Cornwall-based team on a temporary basis with the possibility for a permanent position for the right person. The working day is typically 9am to 5pmbut we can be flexible.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 0900 - 1700(negotiable)
This is an office-based role in Launceston.

What you'll be doing
The successful candidate will support our team and clients in the smooth administration of community consultation projects across the UK.
Main duties include, but are not limited to:
- Drafting, managing and issuing correspondence to members of the public, public officials and others
- Data entry, online research and database creation of contact details and other information
- Answering and making phone calls, including answering a Community Information Line with regular calls from members of the public
- General office duties, including maintaining office supplies (this includes biscuits)
What we're looking for
- A punctual and professional individual, preferably with experience of working in an office and engaging with members of the public.
- Someone diligent with a meticulous attention to detail.
- A "people person" - you'll be dealing with some people over the phone who are distressed and upset, and you'll need to communicate with them confidently, professionally and with empathy.
- Someone proficient in Microsoft software including Outlook, Word and Excel, with PowerPoint desirable but not essential.
- If you have an interest in politics, local government, or planning, that would be a bonus but is far from essential.
- There will be opportunities to travel typically around the south of the country, so a driving licence is preferred but not essential.
