IMCD UK is based in Sutton, Surrey, and employs around 180 people. The role of Sales/Supply Service Representative (SSR) is to be the first point of contact for customers/suppliers and building strong relationships. SSRs are vital to the IMCD business working in all market sectors.
Your responsibilities at IMCD:
Our SSR team fulfils two key functions: supporting the sales side and/or supporting the purchasing side of our business. Typically, an SSR specialises in one of these two functions, but occasionally performs a combination of both.
Sales support side:
* First point of contact for customers in relation to order placement
* Receiving customer orders mainly by email and placing these in our ERP system
* Dealing with queries relating to these orders such as price queries and delivery delays
* Developing and maintaining good relationships with customers and colleagues
* Developing good communication skills via email and phone with internal and external customers/colleagues
* Following Best Practice in relation to IMCD goals and values
* Dealing and resolving customer complaints such as damaged or delayed deliveries
* Managing workload in an efficient and organised way, keeping the ERP system/colleagues up to date where necessary.
* Efficient and supportive team working
Purchasing-side:
* Responsible for placing supplier purchase order on our ERP system
* Placing purchase orders based on customer/supplier requirements, stock holding and product stock levels
* Dealing with queries relating to these orders such as price queries and delivery delays
* Maintaining stock levels in accordance with our stock policies
* Developing and maintaining good relationships with suppliers and colleagues
* Developing good communication skills via email and phone with internal and external suppliers/colleagues
* Following Best Practice in relation to IMCD goals and values
* Working with our third party warehouses and hauliers to resolve any purchase order queries such as damages and delays.
* Resolving any purchase related complaints and recording these so that we can look for areas of improvement.
* Managing workload in an efficient and organised way, keeping the ERP system/colleagues up to date where necessary.
* Efficient and supportive team working
