Who are we looking for?
Burton and South Derbyshire College are looking for a forward thinking, self-motivated individual to join the Executive Administration team.
The role involves providing high quality, timely and efficient support to the Senior PA and Executive Team to ensure that a high standard, timely, efficient service is delivered to the business and its internal and external customers.
The successful applicant will be required to undertake a range of administrative activities assigned and be able to work to tight deadlines prioritising workloads accordingly.
The successful applicant should be able to demonstrate prior experience of working within administrative or support functions and have excellent digital literacy skills, including experience of working with a range of Microsoft Office applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- To undertake general administrative duties in support of the Senior PA to Principal and Vice Principal, and the Executive team.
- Support management of diaries and make necessary arrangements and appointments including travel & accommodation, corporate events and official College functions
- Assist with financial procedures such as reconciling credit cards, raising purchase orders, petty cash claims and cheque requisitions.
- Provide support during meetings to take minutes and record actions
- Recording and reporting of data
Requirements:
- Experience in an administrative role
- Highly organised, proactive, and able to prioritise tasks effectively.
- High level of verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite and other relevant tools.
- Be someone who acts with integrity and manages confidentiality effectively.
Applicants should be qualified to Level 2 or above and should be qualified to, or willing to work towards, Level 2 English and Maths. Evidence of qualifications is required.
