More detail about the role: The post holder will work as part of the SARC team and be professionally accountable for the forensic examinations they undertake for clients 16 years+, ensuring support and guidance is given and arrange follow up care including written referrals and clinical telephone referrals with advice and guidance from a clinical lead as necessary. The post holder will be responsible for performing a clinical assessment and physical examination to ascertain if the client has any acute need such as physical injury, prevention of pregnancy, prophylaxis for HIV, and may directly refer to other clinical services and agencies. The post holder will be required to attend and participate in safeguarding meetings with the Police and adult social care, providing specialist advice and guidance to those professionals regarding the health needs of adults that have experienced sexual harm. The post holder will be required to participate in an on call evening and weekend rota (in addition to core working hours) to provide telephone advice with the requirement to see clients at all sites as necessary outside of core working hours. The post holder will attend civil and criminal court as a professional witness on an occasional basis. Working Pattern: 23 hours per week. Interview Date: Week commencing 10th June 2024.
