We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Support Worker.
As a Support Worker, you will provide personal care, emotional support, and practical assistance to individuals who require additional support due to Learning Difficulties and/or Autism with behaviors that challenge. You must have excellent knowledge and understanding of our children and young adults' individual and unique needs and challenges. You must be passionate about safeguarding and promoting the welfare of individuals and committed to providing quality care and support.
Have you achieved an accredited level 3 (or equivalent) in the workforce of children and young people? If not, candidates who complete their 6 months probation will be enrolled by Unified Care Services to obtain this qualification. Once this is completed, for the candidates who want to excel we also offer enrolment onto level 5 courses! We like to invest in our staff so they can invest more into our young peoples lives.
Key responsibilities include: Supporting individuals with daily living activities and providing companionship and social support. You will be responsible for helping them with household tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry.
The ideal candidate will strongly desire to help others and possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Previous experience in a similar role is required.
