Provide a highly specialist clinical pharmacy service to cancer patients as an integral member of the multidisciplinary team. You will develop and apply specialist knowledge to a designated patient group to develop pharmacist prescribing role, working with a medical practitioner. Participate in the provision and development of pharmaceutical services to Clatterbridge Cancer Centre and for associated outreach units provided with services by the Pharmacy Department. Apply specialist knowledge to develop services, produce protocols or guidelines, undertake audit/research and act as a source of pharmaceutical expertise and promote cost effective use of medicines to other healthcare professionals. Undertake clinical supervision and teaching of less experienced pharmacists, technicians, assistants and students. The post-holder will be part of a fabulous pharmacy team. Master of Pharmacy or equivalent, General Pharmaceutical Diploma, Post graduate diploma in clinical pharmacy, non medical prescribing qualification or prepared to work towards. Knowledge. Essential: Post qualification experience in clinical pharmacy. Good pharmaceutical care skills and knowledge. Knowledge of the changing NHS environment and government initiatives. Participation in multidisciplinary team work Desirable: Knowledge of current & future developments in cancer treatment. Evidence of change management. Experience. Experience of supervising more junior pharmacists.
