Job description
The post holder will work across the services of Interventional Radiology (IR), Outpatient Parenteral Antimicrobial (OPAT) and Venous Access (VAT) teams to deliver high standards of patient care and quality of service provision under the direction of the registered nursing team. The post holder will support the team in making the best use of resources to ensure efficient delivery of planned and emergency workload. This post will involve working in the Interventional Radiology lab, the Interventional Ultrasound (US) lab and the Day care unit.

Strive to maintain the highest standard of patient care at all times by using the nursing process to access patient’s individual needs, plan care within the overall framework of nursing, implement and evaluate nursing care acting on the outcomes, in consultation with senior nursing staff.
To support the registered nursing team in the preparation and post procedure care of patients and to assist during clinical/therapeutic activities or treatments, investigations and procedures.
To prepare the IR/US labs for daily list, including setting sterile procedure trolleys
To act in a circulating role during interventional procedures, attaching monitoring equipment, including ECG, blood pressure to patients, recording and reporting findings
